Kwalify

How an application finishes itself

Kwalify runs an application on WhatsApp in three steps. It asks your customer your questions, one at a time. It decides: it reads the documents, applies your rules and sends anything that fails to a person. It chases until everything is in. Then the agreement is signed on the phone and paid into your own account.

Asks, decides, chases

Asks.

Your questions, one at a time, in a WhatsApp chat. In English or Afrikaans.

Decides.

Reads the documents, does the sums and applies your rules to every application.

Chases.

Reminds people about missing documents and signatures until everything is in.

Then the agreement is signed on the phone and the payment goes straight to your own account.

Example

One loan application, end to end

Thandi Nkosi (an example customer) applies for a loan. Here is what she sees, and what lands on your desk.

Step 1

Your customer gets a WhatsApp message

Kwalify asks your questions one at a time, in English or Afrikaans, from your own WhatsApp Business number. There's no app to download.

Example: Thandi, on WhatsApp

Hi Thandi. A few questions for your loan application, one at a time. What is your monthly income before deductions?

R18 400

Step 2

They answer your questions and send their documents

She sends each document you ask for in the same chat, for example a photo of her ID document.

Example: documents in the chat

Thanks. Please send a photo of your ID document.

Photo: ID document

Got it. Last one: your latest payslip.

Steps 3 and 4

Kwalify checks the documents against your rules, and a person decides on what fails

Kwalify reads the documents, does the sums and applies your rules, the same way every time. A rule that fails goes to a person on your team, with what Kwalify read. Kwalify never turns an application down by itself.

Step 5

Kwalify chases whatever is still missing

If a document is missing, Kwalify reminds her on the channel you chose, WhatsApp, SMS or email, within the hours you set, and stops as soon as it arrives.

Step 6

The agreement is signed on the phone

Once you approve, she signs the agreement on her phone with a one-time code. An audit trail records who signed and when, and the signed agreement is sealed as a PDF that anyone can check on the verify page. More on electronic signatures.

Step 7

The payment goes to your own account

After signing, Kwalify sends a payment link through your own Paystack, Yoco or PayFast account. The money goes straight to you: Kwalify never holds it. More on getting paid.

Questions people ask

Is Kwalify a WhatsApp chatbot?
No. A chatbot answers questions. Kwalify completes the application: it collects the answers and documents, checks them against your rules, chases what is missing, and gets the agreement signed and paid.
What happens when an application fails one of my rules?
It goes to a person on your team to decide. Kwalify never turns an application down by itself: it shows which rule failed and the document it read, and your staff make the call.
Can my customers use email or SMS instead of WhatsApp?
The questions are asked in a WhatsApp chat. Reminders can go by WhatsApp, SMS or email, whichever you choose for each person, and documents for signing can be sent by WhatsApp, SMS or email.
Do my customers need to download an app?
No. They use WhatsApp, which they already have, and a web page that opens from the chat.
